DNN vs. Wordpress vs. ?

  1. Hi Everyone!

I'm looking to start a small blog on my site. I have some familiarity with WP, and feel it is overkill for my small blog. Not to mention that it seems to be a great attack vector and feels bloated, especially when you add in the plug-ins.

My original idea was just to create a basic aspx site using C#, but thought there might be something in between.

I recalled the original Dot Net Nuke CMS and searched around when I found DNN (https://www.dnnsoftware.com/). I'm considering the free DNN Platform version. I looks less bloated than WP and for me, has the advantage of being written in C# (not that I have any immediate plans to make modifications).

Anyone have recent experience on DNN or are there any install tips? Or maybe there is something else I should consider?

    Thanks,

    Cliff

    Hi Cliff,

I would still go with WordPress. DNN is bloated in other ways (e.g. memory consumption).
