How to post different content to subdomain

Discussion in 'Domain names/DNS' started by Isaac, May 29, 2014.

  1. Hello, I recently added a subdomain: test.pomworx.com and I wanted to know how I can post a totally different website to this subdomain? Would I need a subdirectory? If so, how would I point the subdomain to the subdirectory? Thanks!

    Hi Isaac,

I see that you have purchased the Multi-Domain Cloud plan. You can add the sub-domain as an independent site without having to perform any redirection. You need to remove the DNS record first though. Once you create another site with sub-domain name, the DNS entries will be re-populated for you.

  4. Hello Ray, I've removed the test.pomworx.com DNS A record. How can I create another site with the subdomain name, the control panel doesn't let me. It wants me to purchase a new domain through everleap or use an existing domain name that I own. Thanks!

    Hi Isaac,

    To create the new site:

    1) Log into the Everleap Control Panel at https://cp.everleap.com/login.aspx
    2) Click on the Manage link next to Sites.
    3) Click on the Add New Site button.
    4) In the Existing Domain box, type in the sub-domain name and click on the Add Site button.
